Video Games in Behavior

Video games are pointed by parents as time-wasters, and even worse, some educational specialists believe that these diversions degenerate the brain.Playing certain types of video games, like the aggressive ones are pointed by the media and a few specialists as the motivation behind why some teenagers end up plainly rough or submit outrageous hostile to social behavior. However, numerous researchers and experts find that video games can really have many advantages; the primary one is making kids attain problem-solving skills. Video games may really show kids abnormal state thinking aptitudes that they will require later on in life.

According to an expert psychologist from University of Wisconsin C. Shawn Green, “Video games change your brain,” Playing video games change the brain's physical structure in a very similar way of those tasks such as playing an instrument, learning to read, or using a map to locate yourself.  Furthermore, like exercise can modify the muscle, the capable blend of focus and remunerating surges of neurotransmitters like dopamine when teenagers play video games, reinforce neural circuits that can construct in the mind. Although, playing video games is not as good for the brain as reading or playing an instrument is not as bad as most of the people think it is. Expert researcher Daphne Bavalier mentions how video games can help teenagers or general people to develop certain skills while playing video games. Following instructions, problem-solving, logic, hand-eye coordination, fine motor, spatial skills, quick thinking, making fast analysis, decisions, accuracy, and perseverance among others are some important qualities that playing video games could develop over time.


Although playing video games can be a learning experience, is important to complement this development with another type of education. This blog is not intended to say that video games should be a primary type of education for a teenager or a kid. Hence, video games do change the behavior of people. The difference is that video games can also change people behaviors in a beneficial way.
